Matthew Currie Holmes is an 18 year veteran of the film and television industry and multiple award winning actor having appeared in over 40 films and television series, most notably Firewall (Harrison Ford), The Fog (Maggie Grace) and Wrong Turn 2 (Henry Rollins).

Currie Holmes produced, co-wrote and starred in the short film My Charlotte (Official Cinefondation Selection at Cannes), The Dump (Winner: Best Director Viscera Film Festival 2012) and produced The Barista for Fangoria Entertainment (Screamfest 2013) and the award winning horror shorts: Halloween Mask and Witches Brew for Shock Til You Drop.

Currie Holmes’ directorial debut, the supernatural thriller Buckout Road filmed in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada in August 2016 starring screen legend Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon I-IV), Evan Ross (The Hunger Games), Dominique Provost-Chalkey (SyFy’s Wynona Earp), Henry Czerny (Patriot Games, Mission: Impossible) and Colm Feore (Thor, House of Cards) is currently screening in festivals around the world. Currie Holmes recently wrote and directed the music-based drama Traces, for which he also composed the title track. The film stars Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black, American Gods), Sosie Bacon (13 Reasons Why) and rock ’n’ roll icon Rick Springfield (True Detective).

Currently, Matthew Currie Holmes has a slate of high concept genre films in various stages of development, most notably the award* winning vampire horror Self Storage, which he co-wrote and is slated to direct in Canada early 2018.
